6 month Check Up

Kade went to the doctor yesterday for his 6 month checkup.  He now weighs 16 lbs (45th percentile) and is 25 inches tall (25th percentile).  His growth pattern is just fine and he is doing well.

At previous immunizations, Kade just did a little cry and it was done.  But for some reason today he just bawled for a good 5 minutes after the shots.  He was finally soothed and fell asleep on the car ride home.  When we got home we were wondering what was in those shots because Kade was FULL of energy!!!  While on the couch he couldn't stop bouncing up and down.  He was crawling all over the place and getting into everything.  Then it was nap time.  He went down for a nap and when he woke up you could tell he wasn't feeling well.  He was warm to the touch and would cry intermittently.  He had a small temp of 100.8.  Even with his not feeling well, he was cracking up laughing with Shane.  Kade would pull Shane's hair or nose, Shane would make an "ouch" noise, then Kade would just start cracking up laughing.  Silly Kid!  He slept through most of the night, but when he woke for his feeding in the middle of the night he was burning hot to the touch.  Poor little guy wasn't feeling well at all.  But this morning he was as good as new and ready for Daddy's first Father's Day..

In the waiting room, glancing at Daddy

Funny Daddy

While getting his temperature taken, he seems to be flirting with the nurse.

Waiting for the doctor...Kade's mischievous grin...we couldn't keep him away from the paper on the exam table.

Toys?  I don't want my toy...I want paper...and was determined on getting it.

A little snack while waiting for his shots...Kade is ambidextrous with both hands AND feet
