Kade loves his crib and his mobile. It's a perfect place for him to practice standing. He also falls asleep quite fast with minimal crying while in his crib. He always sleeps on his back or his side, and does not move much at all while sleeping. He stares up at the mobile, fascinated with the spinning, brightly colored animals. It puts him to sleep every time! He takes 2-3 naps in there a day...plus we put him in it at night. He will sleep there for 4-6 hours depending on the night...then it's time for a feeding. It's easier to just feed him in our bed when he wakes up early in the morning, so I can still get some sleep. Breastfed babies need to eat more often as breast milk is easier to digest than formula, making baby hungrier faster. He only co-sleeps with us now for a few hours in the early morning now. Once he is done with breastfeeding we can make the full transition to crib. I read some great articles on co-sleeping and bed sharing that really showed the positives of the sleeping approach. Interesting read! Shane and I were always against co-sleeping before Kade came along...but became proponents after learning more about it. An eye-opener! To each his own, as every child is so different, but it works for us.

| Nap Time...He often cuddles with his lavender scented turtle in the corner as the turtle's head resembles a certain body part on mommy. |
