Vet Visit

Today the pug pups went to the veterinarian for their shots.  They have one more set of shots on the 15th of October, then we will be scheduling them to get neutered. We are seeing a new vet in Yucca Valley as our old vet went corporate and was bought out by a chain.  This is the only locally run vet business in the area. 

While there we asked about some of Dobby's issues:  his wet, phlegmy hacking cough; and his symptoms that tend to point to a Urinary Tract Infection.  The vet said that his lungs and chest sound clear.  His cough is caused by allergies most likely and he will eventually outgrow it.  He often has a bubbly runny nose, another symptom of allergies.  The vet said as long as the runny nose is clear and no other gunk in it, he's fine.  As for the UTI, they had to take him into the back and get him to urinate.  They laid Dobby on his back and just like a little boy baby, he began peeing up in the air, squirting everything and everybody.  They had to try to catch his pee and then wash him off.  That's our little Dobby, pee boy, as Shane calls him. The vet was laughing!  We found out that he DOES have a UTI.  So he has medication to take twice a day.  So I was right and hope that his frequent urination won't be as frequent.  This is our Dobby....

Dobby just got caught digging in the sand again...off to wash his face.
